I can’t think anymore. Any logical explanation I find is immediately beaten down by my gut telling me something is wrong. Maybe my guilt and shame are playing a trick on my mind and I am overreacting. I’ve spent hours looking at the ceiling and I just had to stop it. Just for a second. I invited over a girl I knew would help clear my head for just a bit. Two hours of emotionless sex were what I needed because it was the complete opposite of my situation with Eve. Every single emotion in my body was running high when she was around. I avoided The Slums like the plague, I didn’t go to restaurants and bars she liked or worked at. I didn’t run on her favorite spots, visited her favorite bakery, shops or parks. I gave her this damn city and she still found her way back to me.
