Poem #391

Close to midnight
The crowd was already wild
The lights shining over our sweaty bodies
On a summer night in August

The DJ turned the volume up
and we turned on the heat
the way your body moved against me
made me pray for everlasting music

in the blink of an eye
an arm around my waist
another holding my face
our lips met

a stranger who will forever remain
I left a piece of my innocence
in pursuit of experience
on a summer night in August

  1. 💜💜

  2. yammer and stammer
as ya heart became an efficient hammer
    of that chaotic clammer
