Poem #394

I’ve taken these figments of my imagination
And stitched them together
Like a skilled tailor

You exist only in my eyes
Because that is where I made you
I molded you to be the picture to fit my frame
I covered you in glass to keep you safe.

With time, dust and filth settled in
The glass started cracking
I slowly saw the line between creation and reality
My ears were pierced by the shattering
