Over The Edge

The poem is inspired by a character from my first novel Little Rebellion which you can get for free for a limited time only:  Little Rebellion

Don’t push people who have nothing left to lose.
There’s only fire under our feet,
we got used to the danger and pain.
We are doing it just to feel something,
if we die, we don’t want it to be in vain.

My people are now those without a home,
without a person to hold,
just bodies and damaged souls.

Beauty slipped out of my fingers,
all I have is revenge.
Unfortunately for you, I survived when
you pushed me over the edge.
