The Voyeurs.

Rain drops gather on windows
With voyeuristic intent
Hundreds of tiny eyes
Watching every move
Wink, in fleeting light flash.

Gather to discuss—gossip, perhaps?
Then to slowly slink away
Their parting, a sneer across
The glass,
There to join in rivulets of echoing
conversation
To meet the burning tears of dying trees.
