I could have an arsenal of weapons
pointed in your direction
and my silence would still be
the deadliest one
You never saw it as a threat,
but as a relief
maybe a sign that I wasn’t as smart as you
or that I’ve conceded defeat
I was never tongue-tied
I was three moves ahead
Carefully putting a bow on my silence
to give it to you as my final statement
