Do I dream of labor?

Bloganuary writing prompt
What’s your dream job?

My dream job is being a writer. Shocking, I know. I have wanted to do it ever since I was a little girl and I wrote my little stories and poems in my notebooks. I am so sad that I didn’t hold on to all those notebooks, I had a million of them because I think it would be fun to read what 6-years old Ana Luna had to say about the world.

That being said, another dream I have connected to writing is actually publishing a book which would then be adapted for a screen. I think this has a lot to do with my own writing process. For example, I am writing my first novel (I swear to God I will publish it before the middle of the year) and in my head I often picture actors or models, celebrities in general as the characters and I play the scenes out in my head as I am writing them. This type of visualization often helps me out when I am not feeling inspired and I think it would be so interesting to then see a movie or a series that’s adapted from a book I wrote.

I would also like to be present for the creation process of the adaptation and spend some time behind the screen, learn how scenes are directed, how the finalized work comes together.

I am writing a whole daydream here about my possible writing career! But it’s important to dream and dream big.

I am going back to my regular life now where I am far from being a full-time writer but I am making baby steps towards it.

Love,
Luna

  1. Doors open when you seek not seeking doors and windows remain closed

  2. I wanted to be a writer as a child and my dad crushed my dreams by saying I wasn’t good enough lol. Don’t listen to the naysayers I find is always good advice if you have a dream.

  3. As an author, I’d love to make a living at it. But for now I’ll settle for the readers who have enjoyed my creations so far.

  4. Exactly luna, you already proove that you are a good writer. I am sure all your dream comes true👍👍👍

  5. I enjoyed reading your response on this, and I can relate to wishing I had kept all of the writing that captured the voice of my younger self. Taking writing to the screen is a great goal, too and I remember when I was a teenager how I’d imagine the wildest film scenes that probably wouldn’t have gone too far but the key is all in the vision and the dream! 😊

  6. Your daydream will manifest into reality in no time. All the Best!

  7. All the best girl! You’ll grow, glow and slay with your dreams!

  8. Best of luck to you! 😊
