Esther

Softly spoken words led me out of solitude
Into a pasture of effervescent green,
I take one step forward as you dance with
My presence, your eyes transcend it all,
Hazel, honey brown, cognac, russet brown,
I can’t help but smile, you’re different,

Not in the sense I’ve known before
You’re a man of God, you love calling me
Esther, you prayed for my heart,
I prayed for peace and restoration,
You say that my story has led you out
of the darkest night of your life

That my words inspire you to feel completely
The sweetness of pollen, the softness of dandelion,
I almost died telling the truth
That was proof enough for you that
My existence is like a fallen white rose from space
A kingdom spouse, sent by the highest one,
Your version of Esther.
