2025 came to an end

What a year it has been! I had to go through my camera roll to even remember everything that happened this year, because my memory is abysmal (but it is what it is).

I had a fun year when it came to travelling. This year I visited Spain, Portugal and the UK. I finally saw my favourite singer live (which is why I went to Portugal) and it was definitely a core experience for me. I already have my trips for 2026 lined up.

When it comes to my creative endeavours, I am sitting comfortably with 2/3 of my second book finished. I dedicated myself as much as I could this year to writing the sequel to Little Rebellion and I am very proud of myself with how far I came, considering the issues I had this year.

Professionally, I’ve finally started studying for my CAPM certificate, took the course and I am slowly wrapping up the last preparations and I will be applying for the exam shortly. I have also quit my job on Monday after 6,5 years and I am starting a new one at the end of January. I am very excited and scared because it’s a big change for me but it’s absolutely necessary.

I think that what I struggled the most this year has been my health after I contracted H. Pylori. I already had pre-existing stomach issues and IBS so this further worsened my health and I also ended up lactose intolerant because of H. Pylori and the medication I had to take to get rid of it. It was very difficult to go through it, but I think I showed myself that I am still very resilient. I gave myself time to get better and then just slowly got back into routine and I am still learning to manage some of the consequences.

One of the worse experiences this year has been losing my grandfather, which is something I haven’t shared here yet. He was ill for a long time and we all knew it was coming to an end. We made him as comfortable as possible in his last days and got through it together as a family. I still don’t really have the words to describe what it was like, but I do believe one day they will come.

Today, I will be spending the evening with my boyfriend and some of our friends. Tomorrow will be a lazy, rest day and on Friday we are travelling to Istria (Rovinj to be more specific) for a well deserved break.

I hope your 2026 will be all you wish for!

Love,
Luna
